WWW Wednesday (06/02/19)

WWW Wednesday is hosted by the lovely Sam, check out her blog here. The requirements are simple, you answer three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading? What have finished recently? What do you plan to read next?

CURRENTLY READING

I am still pushing through Outlander. I’m currently at 37% and I am hoping by next week I’ll hit like sixty or seventy percent. I know it is a huge book and I am finding it a slow read so I am fine with it taking some time.9780141379272.jpgI also have have started This Mortal Coil, which is my YA book clubs pick for the month. The cover gets a solid 10/10 for me, its is beautiful and ties into the story really well. I didn’t really think this would be for me, but the first couple chapters I have read have been really interesting. Hopefully I will continue to enjoy it!

FINISHED RECENTLY

Audiobooks have been my saviour. I was slumping hard and they have allowed me to actually read and finish some books.39712864First up, we have Heartburn. I got the audiobook from my library, as mentioned in last weeks post. It was super short so I pushed myself to get to it. It turned out to not really be for me, which is a shame but I’m glad I tried it.Audiobooks also allowed me to finish The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, which I definitely rushed. It was enjoyable enough though, just middle of the road for me.I also finished The Colour of Bee Larkham’s Murder, which I didn’t really get into. All these audiobooks also came from my library, so I am very grateful for Overdrive this month! I don’t want to add much more detail or I won’t have anything left for my end of the month wrap up!

READING NEXT

38720939I need some contemporary in my life and next week is the ContemporaryAThon and the next books I have planned to read are for that readathon. So, I think the first book I’ll pick up will be A Very Large Expanse of Sea as it meets a number of the challenges and it is quite short. I also have a three hour journey on the first day so I am hoping to get it all read then. 15dd47c942d1c66aa9ab25d72f6ab59b

I’ve been wanting to try Heartburn, since I love Ephron’s rom-coms, but I’m not sure it’d be my thing either. I loved A Very Large Expanse of Sea so much, it’s definitley a perfect one for a readathon. It’s so easy to read and I didn’t want to put it down! I hope you’ll enjoy it 😊

I hope you like if you do pick it up. It is full of recipes which was unique but strange.
      Thank you! Here’s hoping! I don’t see how I couldn’t like it!

I kind of wish I could DNF it, but I just keep hoping it’ll get better!
Ooo well that is interesting! I often find I enjoy books less on audio, thankfully I have a paperback for this one!

Thank you for that glowing review! I have been in love with the cover for a long time and convinced I wouldn’t like it, I just had to read it for book club, but so far (50 pages in), I’m pretty gripped!

I hope you enjoy This Mortal Coil. I didn’t pick it up on release as the blurb didn’t grip me but I heard good things and really enjoyed it.
